REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE: Your bike maintenance consultation will always begin with a free estimate of the work that will be required (or maybe just desired). I will discuss the necessary repairs and/or upgrades with you and talk over any options while taking into consideration your opinions and budget.

FITTINGS: I have been doing professional fittings for over 10 years. I subscribe to the Serotta bike fit methodology. This method is a completely personalized approach. Fittings are by appointment and last about 1-1/2 to 2 hrs. Taking a holistic view of bicycle fit, I will make adjustments to your bike so that it best fits you and helps you achieve your cycling goals. Although I am able to fit all bikes, road and triathlon riders will realize the biggest benefit. After your fitting is complete, I will send you your fitting details as well as a listing of my recommendations. CUSTOM WHEELS: One of my favorite things to do is build custom wheels. I have over 15 years of experience building wheels. Nothing beats the ride quality of a set of precision hand built wheels. Custom wheels also allow you the option of choosing colors, and specific component versus pre-built wheels which come as they are. I have formed close relationships with wheel component manufacturers like; Chris King, White Industries, Velocity, DT Swiss, I9, Campagnolo, WTB and Shimano. With products offered by these companies and others, I can build a wheel to suit almost any need.

CUSTOM WHEEL PROGRAM: Since starting The Cycle Surgeon I have had more requests for handbuilt wheels than ever before. When it comes to custom wheels it can be a big investment for some people, especially if one doesn't have experience with different products. Subtle differences in wheels can make a large ride quality difference. In an effort to help people make informed choices concerning wheels, I am starting a custom wheel demo program. With this program I will have custom handbuilt wheels available for people to try on their own bikes, at their leisure.

Here is a list of demo wheels that are currently available:

26" Chris King ISO hubs with Stans ZTR355- with tubeless conversion using Continental Mountain King tires

29" Chris King Single Speed hubs with Stans Flow rims

700c Chris King R45 (newly re-designed road hubs) with DT Swiss RR465 rims

The wheels are available by appointment and there will be a set period of time for which you can borrow the wheels. There is a small fee charged (to cover the labor of swapping wheels, rotors, cassettes, etc) but this fee will be applied to the cost of new wheels, if you choose to purchase wheels from me after the demo period. TEST RIDE SADDLE PROGRAM: Saddles are a very personal choice and finding the right saddle can be difficult. I am offering a Fizik and WTB saddle test ride program. I have a selection of Fizik and WTB saddles available for you to try out on your bike before you make a purchase. Contact me if you are interested in test riding a saddle.

TRAVEL CASE RENTAL:: For all you travelers I now offer a bike travel case for rent on a weekly basis. I have available two Thule travel cases that can safely ship your bike to your destination. If you are interested in renting a case then contact me for details.

MOBILE SERVICE AND HOUSE CALLS: Not able to make it to the shop and you need a quick repair? You should take advantage of my mobile service. House calls are available by appointment if shop drop-off or pick-up and delivery service is not the most convenient way for you to experience what The Cycle Surgeon has to offer. Not all services, such as overhauls, are available for on-site repair. Additional fees may apply based on distance from my shop.

PICKUP AND DELIVERY: Not able to make it to the shop, but have a more extensive repair? Consider my pick up and/or delivery service. Additional fees may apply based on distance from my shop. Call me to set up an appointment.

EXPEDITED TURNAROUND: Are you a racer with an immediate need? Is your cycling group depending on you for a ride and your bike is broken? If so, ask me about expedited emergency repair services. Additional fees may apply

ON SITE FITTINGS: Is it more convenient for me to come to you than you to come to me? Make an appointment with me to perform your fitting at an agreed upon location (i.e. work or home).
